ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Samuel E. Scroggins, DMD
Dr. Scroggins is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the University of Alabama Dental School in Birmingham, Alabama. He practiced general dentistry in the Birmingham area for three years before his Internship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
ABOUT THE DOCTOR
DANIEL PEREZ, DDS
Dr. Perez is a graduate of the Orthognathic and TMJ Surgery Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Upon completion of his fellowship, he was recruited to San Antonio, Texas, to join the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), Dr. Perez has maintained a robust clinical practice alongside an active academic and research portfolio. His clinical interests include maxillofacial trauma, facial reconstruction, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, and orthognathic surgery.

Mary Katherine Spinella, DMD
Dr. Mary Katherine Spinella, DMD, MD is originally from New Jersey. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed a six year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she also obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and served as chief resident. As part of her training, she completed an additional year in general surgery and received specialized instruction in anesthesia, trauma, intensive care, and surgical oncology.

Facial Trauma
Dr. Scroggins & Dr. Perez are experienced in the emergency care, acute treatment and long-term reconstruction and rehabilitation of facial injuries.

Wisdom teeth can sometimes cause problems, such as becoming impacted or infected, that may require their removal. -
Bone Grafting
The replacement of deteriorating jaw bone and soft tissues can help patients become suitable for dental implants as well as other restorative treatments.
